Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to evaluate frontier AI models against real electrical engineering work. You’ll rely on your design, debugging, and hardware shipping judgment to guide model improvements.

You’ll craft challenging engineering problems, run them through AI models, compare versions, critique derivations, and flag failures with concrete evidence, using your expertise in analog, RF, and mixed-signal circuits, electromagnetics, control systems and power.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual).
• 2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Background in electrical/electronics engineering or closely related discipline.
• Strong command of circuit analysis and design tradeoffs, and the ability to defend component- and system-level decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, realistic engineering problems from your practice (circuits, control loops, power stages).
• Run those problems through frontier AI models and judge outputs against professional standards.
• Compare two model versions on identical prompts and call which performed better.
• Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, component selections, and calculations, and write the reasoning behind your call.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence: wrong assumptions, sign and unit errors, unphysical results, invalid topologies, fabricated datasheet values, or off-brief interpretation.
