Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop permit drawings and construction documents for complex electrical installations. You will work closely with field electricians, project managers, designers, and BIM teams to deliver fully constructible designs across various projects, from small design/build to large hyper-scale efforts.

The role requires strong knowledge of the NEC and building codes, hands-on field exposure, and a path toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EIT/EI certification or PE license; ability to sit for the Electrical PE exam within 1–2 years if not yet licensed.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical facilities power design, including lighting, receptacle layouts, circuiting and panelboard schedules, and load calculations.
• Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk tools, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with NEC and related building codes.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares detailed electrical engineering permit drawings and construction documents for field execution.
• Develops conceptual designs, sketches, and value engineering ideas for planning and preconstruction.
• Prepares electrical calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation across all construction phases.
• Under supervision, develops and validates studies such as arc flash, short circuit, OCPD, duct bank ampacity, load, lighting, and power factor correction.
• Coordinates with vendors and reviews shop drawings to model accurate electrical systems in Revit.
