Job summary

NORR is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our engineering team in the Philadelphia area. You will develop design solutions for building projects, integrate architectural intent, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while collaborating with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
4–7 years of project experience in electrical building systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
Familiarity with building codes and architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

Design building components, integrating architectural design and complying with codes.
Create drawings to support construction projects; evaluate design requirements.
Perform calculations, code research, materials and building systems research, and area calculations.
Assess site conditions, zoning, and perform site surveys and field reviews.
Write engineering specifications for Project Manuals.
Review products, services and shop drawings for adherence to documents and codes.
