Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer for modular manufacturing to perform electrical, instrumentation, and controls design across multiple production units.

The role focuses on safe operations, regulatory compliance, and efficient system performance, working with engineering, manufacturing and fabrication teams. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of power systems, field instrumentation, and control systems, with experience in modular building and data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree required in Electrical, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent science field.
• 5+ years of related experience in a Design Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role.
• 5+ years of Electrical, Instrumentation or Controls installation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of technical standards and guidelines (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
• Creates solutions to complex, non-routine problems.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Design for Capital Projects.
• Create client issue drawings and detailed fabrication drawings using Revit.
• Develop electrical Revit families and custom electrical components.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, interconnection schedules, and panel schedules.
• Design and coordinate MCCs, switchboards, panelboards, PDUs, CDUs, PLC systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Supporting Engineering and Construction Contractors on an as needed basis.
• Supporting Operations and Maintenance as a technical resource when needed.
• Being able to understand and apply industry codes that apply to an industrial manufacturer.
• Provides instrumentation and controls design support to all phases of project design, execution, installation, commissioning and operation.
• Maintains and applies company instrumentation design criteria and specifications as well as industry recognized standards.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses instrumentation related issues including electrical, mechanical, and computer controlled systems.
• Assists in factory acceptance testing and field inspections.
• Responsible for creating, updating and drafting design documents including but not limited to loop sheets, motor schematics, panel schedules, I/O cabinets and onelines.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
