Job summary

Armada is building ruggedized, modular edge data centers and is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to own the electrical design from single-line through commissioning. You will collaborate with manufacturing, deployment teams, and external partners across time zones while ensuring safety and code compliance.

You will work on protection coordination, arc flash analysis, and multi-jurisdictional compliance, with occasional international travel and direct field involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 3–7 years of post-degree experience in electrical design, with data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and IEC-based codes; multi-jurisdictional design a plus.
• Hands-on with protection coordination and arc flash software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Revit MEP; familiarity with submittals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical designs for modular data centers, including single-line diagrams and calculations.
• Run protection coordination, arc flash, and short-circuit studies; produce field labels and reports.
• Review vendor submittals for UPS, batteries, switchgear, and PDUs; enforce specs.
• Support manufacturing with RFIs, layout/piping routing, and factory witness testing.
• Collaborate across disciplines and coordinate with AHJs on codes and approvals.
