Job summary

Armada builds rugged, modular AI data centers and deploys them globally. This role designs electrical systems for containerized facilities, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure safe, reliable power delivery and compliance across international sites.

You will review vendor submittals, perform arc flash studies, and support manufacturing with field testing and commissioning. This position offers remote work and international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 3–7 years of post-degree experience in electrical design, with at least 2 years in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial power, or equivalent complex power distribution.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and ideally IEC-based national codes.
• Hands-on experience with protection coordination and arc flash software (SKM PowerTools, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or Revit MEP, plus Bluebeam Revu for submittal markup.
• Familiarity with UPS systems, battery sizing, and generator/ATS integration.
• Ability to read mechanical and structural drawings to catch interdisciplinary conflicts.
• Clear written communication for RFI responses and memos.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical designs for modular containerized data centers, including single-line diagrams and panel layouts.
• Run protective device coordination, arc flash, and short-circuit studies; produce coordination reports.
• Review vendor submittals for UPS, battery, cooling, switchgear, PDUs, and generator/ATS packages; enforce specs.
• Support manufacturing partners with RFIs, layout/piping routing, and factory witness testing.
• Ensure compliance across multi-jurisdictional codes and coordinate with AHJs.
• Produce design docs: requirements, memos, diagrams, and commissioning procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, structural, and fire protection engineers; push back when needed.
• Assist field commissioning and occasional international travel for deployments.
