Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the full electrical design cycle for military systems. You will develop power system requirements, analyze designs, and integrate hardware across multi-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes Altium-based design, cabling, testing, and validation of complex, low-voltage systems with occasional on-site work in Dallas, TX. Experience in defense is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Proficiency in electrical system design including power systems.
• Experience with Altium for design purposes.
• Skilled in cabling and integration.
• Testing and evaluation capabilities.
• Experience in low voltage and automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with military and defense systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support requirements for electrical power systems for military products.
• Analyze, design, develop, integrate, and test electrical power systems.
• Participate in trade studies and capability analyses.
• Test and evaluate electrical systems with a team of engineers.
• Create test fixtures and prototypes for diagnosing or testing components.
• Create and maintain cable diagrams and schematics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of electrical hardware.
• Provide technical support to other teams as needed.
• Interact with customers and vendors to ensure project success.
