Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Construction Quality Engineer (QA/QC) role supports EPC projects from remote locations in the United States, traveling as needed to project sites. You will ensure construction aligns with design, specs, and codes and drive corrective actions with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing Quality Management Plans, conducting field inspections, and coordinating with project teams to verify quality and energization readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR ten years QA/QC on commercial electrical construction projects.
• Minimum of seven years of QA/QC experience on commercial, industrial, utility, or mission-critical electrical construction projects.
• Experience overseeing quality control activities for electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and energization of power distribution systems and equipment.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship; no CPT/OPT/STEM OPT plans.
• This role may require substantial travel (50–75%).

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control activities for EPC construction projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications, codes, and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain project quality documentation, including Quality Management Plans, inspection reports, test records, punch lists, and closeout packages.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and quality reviews to identify defects, non-conformances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with project managers, construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and customers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning plans to verify constructability and quality requirements.
• Manage third-party testing and inspection providers, including scope development and issue resolution.
• Support factory witness testing, commissioning activities, and system turnover to ensure project requirements are met prior to energization.
