Job summary

Pearson Evaluation Systems offers remote scoring roles for Texas teacher licensure assessments. Associates score ELA, Health, PPR Trade and Industrial Education, and related subjects, supporting test development and scoring with a focus on maintaining professional standards.

Candidates must have a Texas teaching background, hold a bachelor's degree, and be eligible to work in the United States. Positions are remote with a defined scoring schedule and ongoing application process.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of experience teaching the subject in Texas
• Reside in Texas and hold a bachelor’s degree
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse)
• Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain confidentiality
• Comply with ethical obligations and test security requirements
• Must meet one of: PK-12 teaching certificate in Texas or approved EPP program involvement

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Texas teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring
• Discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program
