Job summary

Public Lab is seeking an Education Manager to develop, expand, and deliver nationwide environmental education programming. The role leads student-led community science, educator professional development, and youth engagement, reporting to the Senior Program Director.

The position is remote within the United States, with travel as needed. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in education program management, plus strong project management and equity-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• At least three years of teaching or educational program experience required; five years preferred.
• Proven project management with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience designing equitable, community-focused education strategies.
• Experience collaborating with diverse communities and partners.
• Familiarity with open technology and DIY hardware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand Public Lab's Environmental Education Programs.
• Design learning models based on Public Lab's community science standards.
• Create curricula and lesson plans for classroom and field settings.
• Deliver workshops and professional development for educators.
• Collaborate with educators, community members, nonprofits, and government partners.
• Coordinate with Kits, Research and Organizing Teams on educational offerings.
