Job summary

Public Lab in New Orleans is seeking an Education Manager to lead, expand, and deliver education programming for diverse learners. You will train teachers, develop engaging lesson plans, and work with the DIY hardware and community teams to foster inquiry-based exploration of environmental topics.

You'll organize seminars, create online resources, and pursue grant-backed growth. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years in education, with opportunities to shape the Gulf Coast program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-3 years of education experience.
• Experience designing and delivering teacher training.
• Experience developing hands-on workshops and online tutorials.
• Ability to work with educators and partners to align with learning goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Public Lab's Education program area.
• Deliver programs to New Orleans schools in academic year '19/'20.
• Develop lesson plans and materials for print, web, and multimedia.
• Organize an annual Gulf Coast educator learning seminar.
• Collaborate with nonprofit teams and manage grant-related tasks.
• Stay current with pedagogical trends and communicate impact to educators.
