• 2+ years of copyediting experience at news/media publications.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to style guides.
• Experience with posting to WordPress CMS and online publishing.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and copyedit daily U.S. news articles, briefs, and features.
• Edit headlines, subheads, and captions for clarity and accuracy.
• Publish finished articles to the CMS and upload breaking news items.
• Verify facts, dates, statistics, quotes, and links with writers when needed.
• Participate in editorial meetings and collaborate with supervisors.
