Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an Edifecs Platform Operations Lead to drive stability, scalability, and compliance of the Edifecs platform for the Veterans Affairs environment in a fully remote role.

You will lead the platform management, oversee staffing and roadmap execution, partner with product, architecture, and cloud teams, and guide performance, security, and deployment initiatives across Edifecs XEServer, XEngine, TPMs, and related modules.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Edifecs architecture and transaction lifecycles.
• Experience in AWS cloud environments and EC2 sizing.
• Ability to communicate technical architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on understanding of platform components: XEServer, XEngine, TPMs, EDI Gateway.
• Experience with EDI integration, AS2/SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS, and API-based integrations.

Responsibilities

• Act as Edifecs Platform Manager, ensuring stability, scalability, and compliance.
• Provide technical oversight, manage staffing, and drive roadmap execution.
• Partner with product, architecture, vendor, and business teams.
• Guide architecture decisions, cloud scalability, and performance strategies.
• Configure and maintain XEServer, XEngine, TPMs, SpecBuilder, and related modules.
• Guide EDI Analysts with building and optimizing Edifecs processing rules.
• Analyze mapping issues, validation failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage JVM tuning, logging, and certificate/keystore configurations.
• Support releases, environment refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business teams.
