Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions in the United States is seeking an experienced Single Pathway Emergency Department Coder for a remote, temporary role of approximately 90 days with potential extension. You will review ER records, assign professional and facility codes from a single record, ensure compliance with NCCI, and maintain productivity and quality while working independently from home.

Required: 3+ years ED coding and AHIMA/AAPC credentials. Epic and 3M Encoder experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of ER coding experience.
• Experience coding both professional and facility services in a single-pathway workflow.
• Proficient with injections and infusions; strong systems knowledge.
• Proficient ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, and modifier assignment; familiar with OPPS/APC reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Review ER records and assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses, CPT/HCPCS procedures, modifiers, and facility codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy, NCCI edits compliance, and appropriate charge capture.
• Identify documentation gaps and request clarifications when needed.
• Maintain productivity and quality per standards and stay updated on coding changes.
