Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Professional Fee Emergency Department Coding Auditor / QA Specialist to join our remote team. This role focuses on comprehensive audits of professional ED coding with emphasis on E/M leveling, procedure coding, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in ProFee ED auditing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify coding discrepancies, provide actionable feedback, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding auditing experience, specifically ProFee ED services.
• Active CEMC and/or CPC certification required.
• Expertise in Professional Fee ED E/M leveling and procedure coding is required.
• Strong understanding of ED documentation, medical necessity, modifier usage, and code assignment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and payer guidelines.
• Must reside in the United States and be available to work Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Audit Professional Fee ED encounters for accurate E/M leveling and coding.
• Perform onboarding coding reviews and quality assessments per client standards.
• Review documentation for ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS compliance.
• Identify discrepancies, missed charges, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare audit reports with findings and corrective action recommendations.
• Collaborate with coding teams and clients to communicate results and support QA initiatives.
• Assist with coder education and documentation guidelines.
