Job summary

Bloomberg Associates in New York seeks an Economic Development Fellow to assist on economic and workforce development projects for US client cities, including strategy, sector-based business development, small business support, neighborhood revitalization, and property regeneration, with about 15–20 hours per week.

The Fellow will be on a six-month contract, remote but located in the New York metro area for periodic meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset with attention to detail and delivery.
• Proven track record of policy research, project execution, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to economic strategy and research on city-focused projects.
• Prepare memos, papers, case studies, and presentations.
• Identify and interview senior government, academic, nonprofit and business leaders for research.
• Engage with clients and present findings to project stakeholders.
• Support neighborhood development, workforce development, and real estate initiatives.
