Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to develop and deliver a 4-week Early Childhood Education micro-credential remotely. The role includes a virtual welcome session, monitoring progress, responding to student inquiries, and grading on a pass/fail basis after each session.

Must meet Ivy Tech’s Faculty Credential Standards with knowledge of Indiana Early Care and Education. Expect collaboration with the Executive Director, Early Childhood Pathways & Initiatives and

Qualifications

• Ability to adhere to project timelines and complete assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of Indiana Core Knowledge and Competencies and adult learning theory.
• Strong written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Utilize Canvas and other technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Supplement and alter lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and requirements.
• Engage with students proactively to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
