Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College invites applications for adjunct faculty in Early Childhood Education. Adjunct instructors are hired each semester to deliver courses, using college syllabi, and to assess student learning within defined objectives.

Professors will use classroom technology and engage students to create meaningful, engaging experiences. Responsibilities include developing materials, maintaining records, monitoring progress, and providing interventions.

Qualifications

• Must have earned master’s or higher degree in early childhood education, or related field with relevant graduate coursework.
• Experience meeting credentials per ASOM 7.1 and promoting diversity in instruction.
• Bilingual-Spanish language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes per college policy and course objectives.
• Use technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develop and maintain outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and records.
• Engage with students to foster active learning and positive experiences.
• Monitor student performance and provide interventions and referrals as needed.
• Interact professionally with students and colleagues and comply with policies.
• Know and implement emergency and safety procedures in classrooms and labs.
