Cambium Learning Group is seeking an Early Childhood Mathematics Assessment Specialist to develop, review, and ensure the quality of assessment content for early learners. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment with state standards and assessment frameworks.

The role requires deep expertise in early mathematics and experience with large-scale educational assessments, with remote work from within the USA and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• 5–8 years in statewide or national assessments; 4+ years in K–2 math.
• Experience aligning assessments to state standards.
• Ability to analyze disaggregated data to guide content decisions.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel 1–8 weeks per year; travel 2–5 days at a time.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and QA Mathematics assessment items.
• Refine item specifications, scoring rubrics, and assessment frameworks.
• Ensure alignment to state standards and content requirements.
• Review disaggregated performance data to inform standards.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, psychometrics, program managers, and clients.
• Ensure mathematical accuracy, developmental appropriateness, and cultural relevance.
