Job summary

CVS Health's Aetna Mental Well-being unit is seeking an experienced EAP Clinical Counselor to deliver 24/7 mental health support to members nationwide via video, chat, or phone. This fully remote role requires a current independent behavioral health license and at least 1 year of crisis intervention experience.

You will assess, triage and provide immediate action plans, coordinate care with a team, and maintain confidential documentation in a call-center environment. 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent professional behavioral health license to practice per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage required, holiday coverage expected.
• Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience in handling mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, counseling and information in a call center.
• Provide risk, substance use and mental health assessments with immediate safety plans.
• Advise on levels of care and appropriate referrals based on assessments.
• Build rapport and align with member's theory of change; inform on resources.
• Collaborate with professionals to support continuity of care.
• Multitask typing and use of tools while speaking with members.
• Protect confidentiality per enterprise and EAP policies.
• Maintain thorough documentation meeting regulatory requirements.
• Maintain current independent behavioral health license in good standing.
