Job summary

Workplace Options is seeking an EAP Clinical Counselor for remote opportunities based in South Carolina. The role involves telephonic, video, chat, and email counseling with a focus on compassionate, client-centered care.

You will engage diverse clients and develop effective short-term treatment plans while ensuring confidentiality and ethical practice. Minimum 2 years of direct counseling experience and a Master’s degree are required, with a range of day, evening, and overnight shifts available

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
• At least 2 years of direct client-contact counseling experience.
• Experience with assessments and clinical assessment tools.
• Familiar with short-term modalities like Solution-Focused, CBT, mindfulness.
• Integrative, systemic counseling approach.
• Crisis intervention training is a plus.
• Ability to handle substance use, crisis scenarios, and related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide single-session telephonic and video counseling with in-the-moment support.
• Assess clients to determine appropriateness for short-term counseling.
• Manage high-risk calls in collaboration with at-risk individuals.
• Refer clients to external resources or within WPO as needed.
• Develop clear, concise treatment plans for clients.
• Maintain documentation in the case management system.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
