Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is seeking an E-Content Specialist to build and maintain a Global Knowledge Base (GKB). You will collaborate with global providers, analyze metadata quality, and load collections with accurate descriptions and classifications.

Remote US-based role with a collaborative team in Product Management and Global Knowledge Base. You will also develop internal docs, source missing metadata, and manage weekly tasks while ensuring high data quality and timely issue

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with metadata, large datasets or electronic resources.
• 2+ years of coordinating with third‑party vendors and managing high‑volume communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain metadata for accurate indexing and discovery in the GKB.
• Analyze publisher-supplied metadata for completeness and quality.
• Create, load, and maintain collections in the GKB with descriptive metadata and classifications.
• Develop and maintain internal docs on metadata transformation and loading processes.
• Research and source required metadata when not provided and ensure proper loading.
• Manage weekly tasks and report progress in daily team meetings.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to meet goals.
