Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a work-from-home DRG Validation Auditor to support inpatient coding quality reviews across Health System Center teams. You will ensure compliance with national coding guidelines and HSC policies to drive accurate reimbursements and data integrity.

You'll review outcomes, mentor staff, and participate in special reviews, maintaining high productivity and accuracy while staying current with coding standards and clinical documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years inpatient/outpatient coding experience.
• Experience with coding audits/monitoring preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coordinates and performs all functions of quality reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient coding across multiple HSCs.
• Assists in ensuring coding staff adherence with guidelines and policy.
• Demonstrates expert level knowledge of medical coding practices.
• Participates on special reviews or projects.
• Maintains or exceeds 95% productivity standards.
• Maintains or exceeds 95% accuracy.
• Meets all educational requirements per company policy.
• Reviews data quality standards, coding guidelines, Company policies and procedures, and clinical resources to stay current.
