Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a healthcare client to hire a DRG / Inpatient Auditor III for a fully remote position based in the United States. You will conduct MS-DRG and APR-DRG reviews, apply ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, and document findings to support accurate reimbursement and compliance.

You will use 3M and Webstrat tools, maintain quality standards, and stay current with coding updates. Some travel up to 10% may be required for occasional client meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of MS-DRG/APR-DRG inpatient coding experience with knowledge of guidelines.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and DRG methodologies.
• Certification in medical coding or health information management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive MS-DRG and APR-DRG coding audits to assess inpatient coding accuracy and identify overpayments.
• Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and DRG reimbursement methodologies to perform reviews.
• Prepare audit reports with evidence-based findings and references.
• Utilize DRG encoder/auditing tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain high-quality audit outcomes by meeting productivity standards and upholding appealing rates.
• Stay current with coding updates, policies, and HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to share knowledge and improve auditing practices.
