Jobgether seeks a Clinical Validation Auditor III to review inpatient records and validate DRG codes from a remote location within the United States. The role emphasizes accuracy, fairness, and evidence-based audit findings, leveraging clinical nursing expertise and coding validation knowledge.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of acute care experience, RN licensure, and familiarity with DRG auditing. Certifications such as CCS/RHIA/RHIT are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• At least 5 years of acute care experience.
• Experience in DRG auditing or clinical coding validation is strongly preferred.
• Certifications CCS, RHIA, or RHIT are advantageous.
• Knowledge of readmission reviews (PPR) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of inpatient documentation and billing accuracy.
• Excellent written communication; able to explain audit decisions clearly.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, OneNote).
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Willingness to complete a coding/auditing assessment if required.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records to determine DRG codes are supported by documentation.
• Identify discrepancies, coding inaccuracies, and potential overpayments.
• Document audit findings with evidence-based rationale.
• Use 3M and WebSTRAT tools to support reviews; training may be provided.
• Work independently while meeting productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Stay current with DRG requirements and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to support quality auditing practices.
• Participate in team meetings and occasional client onsite engagements with up to 10% travel.
