Job summary

One Family Illinois seeks a Donor Relations & Database Specialist to support the Advancement Department with gift entry, acknowledgements, donor data upkeep, and campaign list pulls. The role is part-time and fully remote, with in-person gatherings 4-8 weeks apart.

Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is required; strong Excel/Office skills and confidentiality are essential. Benefits include health, retirement, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, advancement, development operations, administrative, or database support
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in gift entry, record maintenance, and list preparation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort learning database tools and reporting functions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare donor correspondence using approved templates
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential donor information with integrity and discretion
• Reliable, punctual, and able to complete recurring work within approximately 20-hour-per-week schedule
• Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients, donors, staff, and community members
• Ability to relate to Agency staff, donors, and the public in a courteous and professional manner

Responsibilities

• Enter gifts and donations into the donor database accurately and timely
• Prepare acknowledgement letters, receipts, and donor communications
• Maintain donor records including contact information and notes
• Pull mailing, email, and campaign lists using Raiser's Edge or other tools
• Perform regular database clean-up, coding, segmentation, and quality-control tasks
• Prepare and maintain dashboards for frontline fundraisers and board
• Follow procedures for gift processing, acknowledgements, confidentiality, and data integrity
• Communicate priorities and deadlines with Advancement team
