Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Contracts Manager (Remote) to lead cradle-to-grave contract management for JPALS. You will handle proposals, negotiations, administration, and closeout while ensuring compliance with DoD requirements and customer specs. The role supports a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based program team.

You will work with Program Mgmt, Counsel, and cross-functional peers to influence outcomes, manage risk, and protect program objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a US DoD security clearance.
• Experience with U.S. Government fixed price and cost type contracts under FAR/DFARS.
• Experience as a Contracts Lead and/or leading contracts negotiations with customer.
• Experience with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) process.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, partner with cross functional team members to develop creative solutions and resolve contractual matters.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.
• Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope.
• Partner with cross functional team members in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts implementation, and contract administration.
• Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
• Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/ obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
• Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge.
• Minimal domestic travel.
