Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own requirements for JPALS and adjacent programs. You will derive system-level and subsystem requirements, define interfaces, and ensure traceability across hardware, software and tests.

Responsibilities include DOORS-based requirement management, documentation, and collaboration with design reviews and verification teams. Onsite role; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with GPS/PNT systems and requirements derivation.
• Experience with interface definition, allocation, integration, verification and validation.
• Proficiency in generating technical documentation (specs, ICDs, TRDs, VCRM).
• Experience with model-based engineering (MBSE) and MB terminology.
• Proficient with DOORS, Cameo, Jira/Confluence.
• Typically a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and define system-level and subsystem requirements.
• Analyze stakeholder needs and translate into testable requirements.
• Define interfaces and document ICDs and architecture artifacts.
• Maintain requirements in DOORS with traceability and impact assessment.
• Support verification planning and collaborate with test teams.
• Create scripts to automate DOORS import/export across formats.
