Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in durable medical billing requirements, including intake and insurance verification.
• Experience working in DME billing platform – Brightree.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collects, reviews and requests documentation to support medical necessity for Prior Authorization.
• Submits and maintains prior authorizations and CMNs.
• Requests documentation to support ongoing medical necessity and durable medical equipment.
• Reviews CMNs and medical records for accuracy.
• Reviews and completes stop hold reports to resolve revenue issues with payers.
• Communicates with clinicians and office staff to obtain needed information.
