Job summary

saas.group is expanding its 3D AI Studio, a remote-first backend-centric role where you will own the Django backend and production infrastructure. You will collaborate with the founder to review code, ship backend features, and ensure stability, security, and speed for a growing global user base.

You will migrate and optimize databases, manage deployments, and integrate AI tools to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience building and maintaining Python/Django backends.
• Good PostgreSQL/SQL skills including migrations and query optimization.
• Hands-on Linux server administration and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with REST APIs, background jobs and task queues like Celery/RabbitMQ.
• Git-based workflows, testing and safe deployments.
• Independent ownership mindset with clear communication of technical issues.
• Familiarity with AI tools to boost productivity and apply AI pragmatically.

Responsibilities

• Own the Python/Django backend: review, improve and develop code, and build new backend features with the founder.
• Manage Hetzner Linux server, deployments, software updates and security.
• Investigate backend issues, resolve incidents and improve performance to keep the platform stable.
• Maintain and migrate the PostgreSQL database to Neon if needed.
• Ensure background jobs, external API integrations, monitoring and backups run reliably.
• Leverage AI coding tools daily to move fast without sacrificing quality.
