Job summary

Xplor is seeking a back end platform software engineer to design and build multi-tenant SaaS systems. The role emphasizes collaboration in a distributed remote environment, hands-on development with Python, Django, Ember and PostgreSQL, and a focus on robust, scalable design.

You will contribute to architecture, implement APIs, and drive best practices and testing. The position is fully remote within the United States, with cross-time-zone collaboration and a strong emphasis on AI-driven

Qualifications

• Successful collaboration in a remote environment.
• Proficient in Python and Django (REST APIs, models, migrations).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and writing/understanding SQL.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS (tenant isolation, shared vs tenant data).
• Git / GitHub and PR-based delivery.
• Docker for local development.
• Willingness to utilize AI in day-to-day work.
• AWS basics (S3, RDS, containers).
• Experience with testing and quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates and other functions in a geographically distributed remote environment.
• Hands-on development with Python, Django, Ember and PostgreSQL.
• Create well-designed, testable, efficient systems following company processes and best practices.
• Lead technical design initiatives and efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
• Utilize PRs as a path to teach and learn.
• Share ownership for team dynamics, processes and growth.
