Job summary

Batteries Plus is seeking a District Sales and Operations Manager to oversee a multi-store district of corporate-owned stores, driving sales performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction from a remote Columbus, Ohio area.

You will develop store teams, coach managers, evaluate performance, and implement programs to boost profitability while ensuring safety and policy compliance. Travel up to 90% and overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail management experience; multi-location experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coach and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with peers, senior leaders, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to travel up to 90%, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing store teams to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and operational standards.
• Foster a results-driven culture through communication of expectations, performance metrics, and coaching.
• Mentor and support Store Managers to build future leadership talent.
• Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning in partnership with HR and corporate leadership.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Conduct regular store visits, track progress, and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
• Support the rollout and execution of new programs, operational tools, and hands-on training.
• Partner with Store Managers on recruiting, interviewing, and hiring; support staffing during openings or transitions.
• Champion community engagement within assigned territories.
• Analyze profit and loss (P&L) performance to develop action plans for increased profitability and efficiency.
• Provide strategic sales leadership to achieve budgeting goals and drive high performance.
• Evaluate store KPIs, including merchandising, promotions, appearance, and inventory accuracy; address performance gaps with action plans and coaching.
