Job summary

Medtronic plc in the United States is seeking a District Sales Manager, Pain Interventions, to lead strategic sales efforts across the assigned territory. The role is field-based with remote work, requiring residency within the region and frequent travel to accounts.

You will develop and implement strategies to reach short- and long-term goals, train staff, coordinate efforts, and build strong customer relationships while upholding Medtronic's quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of medical sales experience; or Advanced Degree and 3 years of medical sales and leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives
• Utilize field visits and meetings and telephone contacts to drive sales
• Train and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management
• Coordinate sales efforts
• Communicate corporate, divisional, regional and district goals and activities
• Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals
• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching and schedule performance reviews
• Implement corrective actions when necessary
• Assist employees with individual development plans (IDPs)
• Apply customer focused quality concepts
• Provide overall management of district assets including budgets and forecasts
• Ensure efficient use of inventory and expenses
• Negotiate and resolve price and contract issues
• Coordinate efforts with sales reps and managers across product lines
• Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic to customers
• Recruit and interview candidates to maintain a strong talent bench
• Provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing management
