Job summary

CubeSmart is seeking a District Manager to lead our store operations in the Chicago, IL market. This home-based role is responsible and accountable for the business activity, strategic direction, and profitability of CubeSmart stores within a designated District.

You will drive revenue, ensure operational excellence, recruit and develop teammates, and partner with senior leadership to execute the company’s WOW service model while maintaining safety and compliance across all district locations.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years multi-unit retail leadership experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for district store activities and customer-facing operations.
• Meet or exceed monthly revenue budgets across the district.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of state foreclosure processes and requirements.
• Conduct quarterly facility audits to ensure standards.
• Deliver the WOW! service model and engage customers regularly.
• Oversee daily teammate activities and provide feedback.
• Develop teams through training, mentoring and coaching.
• Recruit and hire new teammates.
• Create a shared vision and drive coaching and development.
• Travel monthly by car to stores; overnight travel once a month.
