Job summary

Cubbard Express Inc. is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple convenience stores, drive sales, manage labor and shrink, and ensure safety and brand standards. You will coach Store Managers, implement company programs, and translate strategic goals into daily performance.

The role requires 5+ years of multi-unit retail leadership, strong financial acumen, and travel 3–4 days per week. Join a team focused on customer experience and operational excellence across the district.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum of multi-unit retail management experience (Convenience Store or QSR preferred).
• Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze P&L statements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and POS/back-office systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 3–4 days per week between stores.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and coach Store Managers and Assistant Managers.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess leadership, customer service, and operational discipline.
• Hold weekly 1:1s with Store Managers.
• Partner with HR on hiring, corrective actions, and performance reviews.
• Promote accountability, integrity, and teamwork.
• Drive compliance with cash handling, inventory, age-restricted sales, and loss prevention.
• Lead promotions, pricing, and new product rollouts.
• Review KPI reports and hold managers accountable for targets.
• Plan quarterly and annual budgets with VP of Retail.
