Electric Power Engineers is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to perform fault analysis and protection studies for distribution substations and feeders. You will prepare relay settings for SEL relays and interpret complex electrical drawings, collaborating closely with utility clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience running distribution protection coordination studies for utilities.
• Experience in preparing relay setting files for SEL-351, SEL-651R and S&C TripSavers.
• Familiar with SEL Quickset.
• Strong technical/report preparation skills.
• Proven teamwork and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection studies including model development and short circuit analyses.
• Prepare relay setting files for protective relays (SEL, GE, etc.).
• Perform fault event analysis for distribution substation and feeders.
• Interpret electrical drawings and substation layouts.
• Collaborate with utility clients daily.
• Ensure timely completion of projects within quality and budget goals.
• Execute multiple tasks concurrently.
