Job summary

ICF International seeks a Distribution Planning Engineer for a fully remote US role. You will model power systems, perform reliability studies, and analyze distribution networks to support client projects with state-of-the-art software tools.

You will collaborate with teams to identify improvements, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality engineering services for utilities clients nationwide. Strong communication and proactive learning are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university.
• 2+ years of distribution planning experience and related studies.
• Experience with power flow analysis software such as CYME, Synergi, Windmil, ETAP or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal and external client meetings.
• Perform system modeling including steady-state load flows.
• Conduct system reliability and resiliency planning studies.
• Analyze distribution system loading, voltage, reactive power and contingencies.
• Conduct new load and generation interconnection studies.
• Recommend solutions and best practices for standard and non-standard situations.
• Perform engineering analyses following standard methodologies and principles.
