Job summary

ICF is seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer for a fully remote role based in Puerto Rico. The position involves interfacing with engineers to develop power system models and conduct planning studies for distribution and industrial systems, including short circuit and load flow analyses.

Strong communication and self-management are essential. Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years in distribution planning, with proficiency in CYME/Synergi/Windmil/ETAP.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 2+ years in distribution planning, operations, and power system studies such as hosting capacity, contingency analysis, and load flow.
• Experience using power flow software such as CYME, Synergi, Windmil, ETAP or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Interface with other engineers to prepare computer-based models and perform power system studies for distribution and industrial/commercial systems.
• Self-manage with strong communication and organizational skills; explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.
• Participate in client meetings; perform system modeling and reliability and resiliency planning studies; analyze loading, voltage, and contingencies.
