Job summary

Leidos Inc. in Eastern PA is seeking Distribution Engineers & Designers to design electric utility projects, leveraging GIS tools and field data collection. You will work with clients and coordinate with internal teams to ensure high-quality design outputs.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in an engineering discipline, and strong knowledge of NESC. Remote capabilities are offered, with commutable work within Eastern PA and occasional in-person meetings as

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Experience with structural analysis, guying calculations, cable pulling calculations, protective devices coordination, and electric fault current calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make-Ready using GIS and work management systems.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Conduct scope analysis and maintain schedule adherence.
• Coordinate utilities and other field design requirements for complex projects in dense urban environments.
• Collect field data through site visits as needed to support design development.
