Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Distribution Designer to join our remote engineering team. The role focuses on designing and reviewing distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV, including URD, re-conductoring, and underground work packages, for projects nationwide.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (Masters counts towards experience) with 2+ years in utility design and proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and related design platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Design and review overhead and underground distribution lines from 4 kV to 69 kV.
• Develop overhead, URD, re-conductoring and asset replacement projects.
• Coordinate design teams to develop budgets, scoping documents and project deliverables.
• Provide engineering assistance during construction and attend meetings as needed.
• Interpret codes and regulations and develop construction standards.
• Promote engineering professionalism and standards.
