Job summary

BairesDev is hiring a Storage Engineer to architect and maintain distributed storage systems ensuring data availability at scale. You will bridge low-level systems programming with high-performance infrastructure, working on large datasets in a 100% remote setting.

The role requires 4+ years in storage or systems engineering, expertise with Ceph/MinIO/S3-like platforms, and proficiency in C/C++, Go, or Rust.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Storage Engineering or related fields.
• Proven expertise in distributed storage systems like Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible solutions.
• Proficient in C/C++, Go, or Rust for systems development and optimization.
• Deep understanding of durability and consistency models, replication, and block storage at scale.
• Hands-on experience with distributed file systems and object stores in high-performance environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable distributed storage solutions such as Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible systems.
• Develop and optimize storage layers using systems-level languages like C/C++, Go, or Rust.
• Implement robust data replication and consistency models to guarantee system durability.
• Manage the lifecycle of distributed file systems and object stores in high-throughput environments.
• Architect block storage configurations to meet the demands of large-scale production workloads.
• Monitor and tune storage performance to minimize latency and maximize resource efficiency.
