Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Dispatcher/Router Combo for a remote US-based role. You will communicate with drivers, assign routes, and resolve service issues, using WM software to manage tickets and plan next-day routes.

This full-time position offers flexible hours within 3am-7pm MT and occasional overtime or Saturdays, with travel up to 15% to work with local dispatch sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a team setting.
• Ability to communicate across multiple areas in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispatches drivers to calls using customer needs, driver locations, and loads.
• Coordinates routes with sites and service departments for optimal efficiency.
• Determines daily driver staffing to balance responsiveness and productivity.
• Assigns routes and tickets to drivers and ensures completion of tasks.
• Handles incoming calls and emails from customer service and sales for pickups/deliveries.
• Communicates with customers during site visits to resolve delays or issues.
• Troubleshoots delivery/pickup problems to prevent service issues.
• Ensures same-day service for missed pickups by routing adjustments.
