About the Role

Our client, a premier national courier and logistics company, is looking for a highly organized and proactive Remote Dispatcher to join their operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of parcels and documents across the country. As a remote employee, you will be responsible for coordinating drivers, optimizing delivery routes, managing exceptions, and communicating effectively with both drivers and customers, all from the comfort of your home office. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of dispatching software, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process delivery requests from customers and internal departments.
• Effectively dispatch drivers, assigning routes based on location, urgency, and vehicle capacity.
• Monitor driver progress in real-time using dispatching software and GPS tracking systems.
• Optimize delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency, minimize transit times, and reduce fuel consumption.
• Communicate critical information, instructions, and updates to drivers throughout their shifts.
• Proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the delivery process, such as traffic, vehicle breakdowns, or customer access problems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing support and assistance as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date dispatch records, including delivery confirmations and incident reports.
• Liaise with customer service teams to address client inquiries and resolve delivery-related concerns.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and delivery timeframes.
• Collaborate with other dispatchers and operations staff to ensure smooth overall network flow.
• Provide feedback to management on driver performance and operational challenges.
• Manage communication during emergency situations or significant disruptions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dispatcher, preferably within the courier, logistics, or transportation industry.
• Proficiency with dispatching software, route optimization tools, and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and make quick, sound decisions in a high-pressure environment.
• A dedicated and quiet home office space with reliable high-speed internet access.
• Proficiency in using standard office software, including email and word processing applications.
