Job summary

PACS is seeking a PLGL Litigation Paralegal with 2-5 years of law firm experience defending skilled nursing facilities and residential care facilities for the elderly in elder abuse and professional negligence litigation. Hands-on discovery experience is required, supporting Litigation Managers with case management, discovery review, and document production.

Primary venue is California; this position is remote or in-office in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of litigation defense experience focusing on elder abuse and professional negligence.
• Discovery-heavy litigation experience is essential.
• Experience defending SNFs/RCFEs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate responses to discovery requests and communicate with personnel.
• Identify, collect, and produce facility records for elder abuse and negligence claims.
• Generate regular client reports, status updates, and ad hoc reports.
• Assist in drafting responses to discovery.
• Oversee discovery activity, scheduling, status updates, and liaise with external counsel.
• Attend meetings with external counsel and facility staff as needed.
• Support other paralegal and admin projects as directed.
• Must be highly organized with excellent communication skills.
