AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) seeks an EM Public Assistance Specialist at multiple levels to support disaster recovery. The role is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with travel up to 100% across the country.

Responsibilities include technical assistance, evaluating FEMA project documentation, and managing grant lifecycles to help communities recover from disasters. The candidate should have 3–7+ years of FEMA public assistance experience, strong Excel skills, and experience in EOC environments.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of FEMA public assistance and grant experience.
• Demonstrated practical knowledge of FEMA categories A, B, and E.
• Experience in at least 2 major disaster recovery efforts.
• Experience writing project worksheets (PWs).
• Experience using database software to manage eligibility, scope of work, and cost estimates.
• Experience working in and supporting an Emergency Operations Center.
• Experience with grants portal, EMMIE, or state-specific grants systems.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsabilités

• Provides technical assistance and expertise to clients through the recovery process.
• Maintains understanding of all applicable Public Assistance policies and evaluation protocols.
• Analyzes and evaluates project applications, supporting documentation, and inspection reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensures quality, completeness, and on-time delivery of all tasks.
• Utilizes grants portal system to track and evaluate client information.
• Maintains knowledge of procurement and contracting requirements.
• Works through all phases of the grant lifecycle.
