Job summary

Twilio is seeking a head of disaster recovery to lead the enterprise DRM program, aligning governance, execution, and resilience across product and IT systems. The role emphasizes measurable risk reduction, audit responses, and executive reporting.

You will drive DR governance, coordinate cross-functional tests, and ensure failover readiness with third-party SaaS providers, while maintaining clear communication with security leadership and incident teams.

Qualifications

• CBCP certification required.
• Experience leading technical response or recovery workflows during high-severity outages.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization; knowledge of DB sync and centralized config directories.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual DR program planning, review, and executive sign-off for critical systems.
• Integrate DR vulnerabilities and SRF findings into risk frameworks to reduce operational risk.
• Author program updates, metrics, and audit responses.
• Coordinate unified Gamedays and quarterly tests to ensure failover predictability.
• Benchmark recovery against RTO/RPO targets and audit vendor DR plans.
