Job summary

State of California is seeking a Disability Payroll Specialist to process workers’ compensation payroll and SDI/NDI payroll, certify medical leave requests, and assist with time and attendance for disability cases. Telework eligibility is noted and in-person duties may be required for certain functions.

The role requires knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, and related benefit programs, with emphasis on confidentiality and discretion in handling payroll information and leave transactions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FMLA, FFCRA and CFRA benefit programs.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation leave and California disability programs.
• Experience completing payroll transactions and related leave accounting.

Responsibilities

• Process workers’ compensation payroll and SDI/NDI payroll.
• Assist with time and attendance for disability cases and leave entitlements.
• Provide administrative support for leave programs and related wage replacement benefits.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in processing payroll data.
