Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Concurrent Disability Case Manager to oversee Short-Term Disability and leave requests, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective case management. The role involves engaging with employees, clients, and health professionals to determine appropriate leave actions and return-to-work plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of direct experience managing Leaves and STD disability case management.
• Regulatory expertise in FMLA, state leave laws, company policies and STD plans.
• Ability to review medical documentation and translate restrictions to job functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process FMLA, Military, State leaves; STD cases.
• Contact employees and client contacts by phone, email or meetings to explain the leave process and gather information.
• Assess situations and document factors supporting return-to-work.
• Review information and consult resources to approve/deny leaves and STD cases.
• Inform claimants of documentation needs, timeframes and claim status.
• Collaborate with employer representatives to plan RTW and accommodations.
• Attend team meetings and trainings; follow standard operating procedures.
