Job summary

OCHIN, a 100% remote nonprofit health IT organization, seeks a Director of Workforce Development to lead program execution, compliance, and grant management for nationwide initiatives impacting Federally Qualified Health Centers and community health organizations.

You'll drive workforce pathways, learning programs, and partner engagement, overseeing budgets, reporting, and performance metrics across multiple grants while shaping scalable, sustainable models that expand opportunities for diverse

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Eight years of progressive experience leading complex workforce development, education, or grant-funded programs.
• Three years of management or formal leadership roles.
• Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives with timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
• Experience in healthcare, health IT, or safety-net environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accountability for workforce development program and grant execution, ensuring deliverables, milestones, budgets, and reporting are met on time.
• Establish and operationalize a coordinated workforce development model across pathways, training, recruitment, and partnerships.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across program management, learning, grants, data/reporting, and finance teams.
• Represent the organization with funders, educational institutions, and workforce partners to align goals.
• Provide leadership for the Workforce Development portfolio and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
• Oversee performance monitoring, data capture, and reporting aligned to expectations.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement of programs and scalable delivery models.
• Support staffing strategy and talent development for growing demand.
