Job summary

Cengage is seeking a Director of Web Experience Design to shape the vision and design strategy for its web ecosystem. You will lead a team, set a high bar for craft, and drive measurable impact across discovery, engagement, ecommerce, and conversion.

You will partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to develop hypotheses, prototype ideas, and run tests, while staying ahead of evolving design practices and AI-enabled experiences.

Qualifications

• Senior Web Experience Design role with 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with ecommerce, growth, conversion optimization, or other transactional digital experiences.
• Deep expertise in UX and UI design principles, accessibility, and modern digital design processes.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for Cengage’s web experience and establish a clear UX/UI strategy across websites.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to develop hypotheses and run A/B and multivariate tests.
• Advance ecommerce and conversion experiences and optimize high-value moments.
